I absolutely loved the charming and cozy decoration of Brook Cottage. The design was a perfect balance of practicality and modern style. The whole property was spotlessly clean and tidy, making it feel like a real home away from home. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the cottage. Although the steps down to the underdwelling needed careful negotiation, they were clearly shown on the listing and had a handrail. It added to the charm and didn't pose any problems for me. The little terrace with a view over the town was a delightful bonus, especially when enjoyed in the sunshine.
The only thing I would suggest for a better experience for senior people is a later check-out time. The 10 am check-out was a bit early, especially for those who may prefer a more relaxed morning.

I really appreciated the attention to detail, with everything discreetly labeled to make our stay easier. the owners did a great job maintaining the character without spoiling it. the location was fantastic for exploring the town, with everything within walking distance.
Parking was a bit of a hassle, as there was no parking available outside the property. We had to use a public car park at the bottom of a hill, which meant a short uphill walk.

My recent stay at Brook Cottage was absolutely delightful. The cottage was beautifully renovated and had a cozy yet modern feel. The attention to detail was evident, from the tasteful decor to the thoughtful touches like snacks in the cupboard and USB chargers throughout. The location was perfect, with stunning views and close proximity to amenities, pubs, and cafes. I also appreciated the timely communication from the host, Mandy, who provided us with all the necessary information for a smooth check-in.
The only minor drawback was the early check-out time of 10 am, which felt a bit early.

The terrace had killer views over Holmfirth and we chilled there, soaking up the sun. The place was clean, stylish, and super cozy, with all the modern stuff we needed. The owner, Mandy, was awesome, gave us all the info we needed, and genuinely cared about us having a rad time. Perfect spot to explore the town and party it up with friends!
The only bummer was the 10 am check-out time. We wanted more time to recover from our epic night out in Holmfirth.

Towels provided were of prime quality, perfect for drying my royal self. Cons: Oh, how inconvenient! The check-out time of 10 am was so troublesome, as if my luxurious lifestyle revolves around early awakenings. Ugh.
